Didier Guérin – President and CEO

Didier Guérin has launched or relaunched more than thirty magazines throughout the world (including ELLE in the US), most of them in countries like China, South Korea, Taiwan, Australia and Japan (including the Japanese edition of VOGUE ).As a former senior corporate executive in several major international publishing companies, Didier Guérin brings close to twenty years of magazine publishing experience. He was a senior executive with Hachette-Filipacchi Média and Condé Nast and served as President Asia-Pacific for both groups.In 1999, Didier Guérin founded Media Convergence Asia-Pacific, to develop and expand the presence of established Western magazine publishers in the Asia Pacific region. Relying on its unique network of knowledge and connections in each market, Media Convergence manages or advises the local companies in the Asia Pacific region of several European or American publishers.Didier Guérin is a member of the Asia Society. He holds a BA in Communications and a Law Degree from the University of Paris II, along with a Master’s Degree from Michigan State University. In 2010, the French Head of State awarded Didier Guérin with the Legion of Honour in the rank of “Chevalier”.

Jenny Hu, 

Country Manager China


In charge of Media Convergence’s operations in China, Jenny Hu combines a rare experience between the creative and the business sides of magazine publishing, both on-line and in print. Before joining Media Convergence, Jenny Hu was Vice-President of the International division of Panorama Media, the largest stock photo agency in China. Previously, Jenny Hu spent her career in magazine publishing where she acquired a solid expertise in management, advertising sales and marketing with Caijing, China’s top business magazine. She also executed licensing deals to launch local editions of world’s premium magazine titles in China, such as Sports Illustrated, Better Homes and Gardens and PC Magazine. Since joining Media Convergence in 2008, Jenny Hu has also played a key role in the launch of GRAZIA China and the relaunch of Madame FIGARO China. A native of Shanghai, Jenny Hu holds a MBA in Finance and International Business from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, CA.

 Based in China since 2000 and with over ten  years experience in the local media industry Mr Neubacher became the first foreign editor in chief of a Chinese language publication.

After his service at the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation as Programme Director for its Investment and Technology Promotion Service he  joined CIMG (China Interactive Media Group) as editor in chief of Time Out magazine . As CIMG  Group Creative Director he was also responsible for developing creative content strategies for the group’s advertising clients like Chanel, Diesel, Mercedes, BMW, Guerlain, Dior, Sony, Range Rover, Mini, Absolute etc…After the successful launch of Time Out he took over CIMG’s luxury lifestyle title iLook,a 100 percent locally producedmagazine which became the first media to actively promote the Chinese creative scene and offered a platform to Chinese photographers, stylists and models of which many became internationally famous, for examplephotographer Chen Man,  etc…

In 2008 he started to work for Le Figaro and re-launched their weekly French fashion title Madame Figaro inChina as a monthly luxury fashion magazine. To position Madame Figaro in his crowded segment with a unique voice he redefined the editorial line, recruited and trained the entire editorial and artistic team. In August 2011 he joined the Financial Times as editor in chief of their Chinese language publication FT Rui, a luxury lifestyle title catering to the Chinese business elite. Before joining Media Convergence, Mr Neubacher was COO at digital startup platform Touchic.


Hao Zhang



Hao is a Beijing native. After graduating from Business School in Brussels, he worked in Beijing, Brussels, Paris, Toulouse and Shanghai.  Hao is a luxury industry expert with a strong knowledge in branding, marketing strategy, PR and digital. He worked as a senior executive for several international companies and also consulted for a few international groups, like LVMH.Hao has a deep understanding of both Chinese and European cultures. He speaks Chinese, French, English. 


Margaux Tang

Corporate Manager


Margaux Tang oversees Media Convergence’s staff in Sydney and coordinates Media Convergence’s finance, research and online departments. Before joining Media Convergence, Margaux Tang joined graduated from Sydney University and has travelled extensively around the world including in China, where she spent a semester at Beijing University. She has previously worked in corporate finance and in an internet start-up company.
